Beethoven’s Violin Concerto
Continuing the Beethoven 250th anniversary celebrations, this concert features the fantastic violinist Alexandra Soumm alongside maestro Andrea Marcon.
Two years after the premiere of the Eroica Symphony, his friend Franz Clement, concertmaster and conductor of the Vienna Opera, commissioned Beethoven to compose a violin concerto. Thanks to this we are in front of the only concert by the composer for this solo instrument. The programme is completed with Schubert’s Tragic, a symphony that begins precisely with a small tribute to Beethoven.
